Angels for the Cure

A walking team in the Susan G. Komen 3-Day
Breast Cancer Ribbon

Welcome

Angels for the Cure is beginning it’s fourth year as an organized team of men and women registered to participate in the Dallas/Fort Worth Susan G. Komen 3-Day for the Cure  November 4th-6th.  We will walk 60 miles over the course of three days with thousands of other women and men. Every walker participating in the event is required to raise a minimum of $2300.  Net proceeds help pay for vital global breast cancer research and local community programs supporting education, screening and treatment.  Susan G. Komen for the Cure® paid for more than 600,000 breast screenings in 2009–part of a more than $1.5 billion commitment to research, advocacy and community programs since Komen was founded in 1982.

Being able to walk 60 miles takes months of training and fundraising, so why do we do this event year after year?  We truly believe we can make a difference.  We know we won’t cure cancer ourselves, but the money we raise will help to fund a scientist who discovers a major breakthrough that will one day lead to a cure.
